Q 1. Does GreenSaver Classifieds have a print
publication ?
A. No, GreenSaver Classifieds is an
online website publication only. That keeps our overhead low and
enables us to pass the savings on to you with low cost
classified ads. It is also the reason why GreenSaver was chosen
as our name: 1) We can save you money; 2) We don't use paper
and save the trees.
Q 2. How do I buy items from this site ?
A. All negotitions are between the
Buyer and Seller, similiar to newspaper classified ads. Seller
contact information is supplied at the end of all ads.
Q 3. All of my photos are 600KB or larger.
What can I do to comply with your system ?
A. Our Online Ad Form has picture
file size limits of 30KB minimum to give adequate picture
quality and 400KB maximum to allow for fast downloads of the Ad
Form e-mails and limit storage space. The 2nd reason for a
maximum picture file size limit is so that when Browsing the
Ads, the pages download quicker.
Most digital cameras allow you to select the picture
quality (i.e. good, better, best). We find that the "good"
quality is sufficient for web pictures. The higher the
picture quality, the larger the file size.
Maybe your photo be in the bitmap format. If so, you
can try opening the picture in Paint and saving it in the
JPEG (jpg) format.
Your camera may have come with software that allows
you to resize or shrink a photo.
If none of this works, you have another option:
a) Send us a spare picture in the mail and we will scan
it to a proper file size.

Q 4. Can I electronically submit a picture
file larger than 400KB ?
A. Yes. We prefer ads be submitted via
our website's Online Ad Form. But, If all else fails, send us
the large photo file (bmp, jpeg, gif, etc.) as an e-mail
attachment to
ads@greensavernh.com. We will convert and/or compress it to
a proper file size. Please reference the Ad Title in the e-mail.

Q 5. How does the Ad Fee work ?
A. You pay a one-time prepaid charge to get
your full page picture ad posted. Your Ad runs until the item
sells. There are no commission charges. Rental Ad Fees are based
on the asking rental price, whether per week, month, or year.

Q 6. How do I view my ad ?
A. Click on
Browse Ads and review the Browser, Buyers Agreement. If you
click on 'I Accept', you will go to the 'Browse Ads Index' Page.
You can either choose your ad category or use our Search
Feature.

Q 7. How do I remove my ad if the item sells
?
A. Click on
Contact Us and fill out the form. Select "item sold" and
include the "Ad ID #" field. If you want to just remove the ad,
select "remove ad" in the "Why contacting ?" field.

Q 8. How do I change my "contact information"
?
A. Click on
Contact Us and fill out the form. Select "change email
address" or "change in contact information" in the "Why
contacting ?" field.

Q 9. Is the Seller's information secure ?
A. Yes. Our website only offers the
seller's first name, telephone number, and NH town (similar to a
newspaper classified ad). Your e-mail address is private and
stored off-site under a Customer ID#. No financial information
(i.e. credit card) or any other personal information is stored
on our PCs or record keeping files. We will never share your
e-mail address.

Q 10. If a person is interested in my ad, do
they contact GreenSaver or me ? Would it be by phone or by
e-mail ? If it is e-mail, what would be in the Subject line ?
A. With all posted ads, GreenSaver is just
a
middle-man. All contacts will be between the buyer and seller
by phone or e-mail (if supplied). If a browser sends an e-mail
to the seller, the e-mail subject line will be "GreenSaver
Classifieds (Ad ID#) Question".

Q 11. What should I do if there was an error
when trying to submit an ad with a picture attachment ?
A. First, make sure that the picture is a
valid format (i.e. jpg, gif, etc.). Sometimes a picture gets
corrupted between programs and ends up with an invalid image
format. Make sure that the picture file size is within our
Online Ad Form limits of 30KB to 400KB. You may want to try to
resubmit it. ISP's may hic-cup occasionally or drop the line
before it was complete. If there is no error, you will receive
an email message acknowledging that your ad was received.
Lastly, you can just email the picture as an attachment to
ads@greensavernh.com.

Q 12. When is the deadline for placing new ads ?
A. Tuesday at 5PM for next Sunday's website
posting. Your ad will be posted by 8PM Sunday (subject to change
during holidays). However, most of the time it gets posted
within a day or two.

Q 13. Is any information collected or traced from
GreenSaver viewers ?
A. No. GreenSaver Classifieds does not have
a login, user registration, subscription, membership, or
cookies. All Browser, Buyer information is private. Enjoy
browsing our ads for FREE, anonymously.

Scam and Fraud Prevention Tips
You can avoid most scammers by following these 3 common-sense
rules:
Deal locally with Sellers you can contact by phone, contact
by mail, or meet in person.
Avoid e-mails written in broken English or are from outside
the U.S. (common countries include: Nigeria, UK, Netherlands,
Romania, Ukraine, Spain, Italy,
... ).
Never accept payment that is larger than your asking price,
and the buyer wants you to mail or wire them the remaining
balance. Unfortunately, the original payment sent by the Buyer
is fake.
These 3 rules will help you avoid 98% of the scam attempts.
Additionally, Buyers should be aware of:
Never wire money via Western Union, or any other wire
service. Anyone who asks you to do this is a scammer.
Fake Cashier Checks and Money Orders are common. The banks
will cash them and hold you responsible when the fake is
discovered weeks later.
Avoid deals involving Shipping or Escrow Services and know
that ONLY a scammer will "Guarantee" your transaction.
Never give out financial information, (bank account number,
social security number, PayPal info, etc.)
GreenSaver Classifieds is not involved in any transaction.
We do not handle payments or guarantee transactions.
Who should I notify about scam or fraud attempts ?
If you suspect that your item posted on GreenSaver Classifieds is
receiving e-mails that may be part of a scam, please forward the
details to
abuse@greensavernh.com. Also, you can use
Contact Us and select the "abuse or misuse of service" for
"Why contacting". Be sure to include the Ad ID# in your message.
